Originally from Philadelphia, USA, I've been based in Europe since 2003, initially in the UK where I completed my university studies and began my professional translation career in 2009, and since 2019 in Italy.
Since first starting out as a qualified translator, I have been refining my areas of specialisation based on both the professional and personal experience I have acquired over the years, allowing me to develop expert knowledge in these areas. This expertise guarantees that my translations mean exactly what they intend to say. |

Food and WineIn 2013 I turned my personal interest in wine into a professional skill by completing the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 course, and continue to regularly attend wine tastings, industry trade fairs and various courses. In 2022 I am working towards becoming an Italian Wine Scholar through the Wine Scholar Guild and a sommelier through the Associazione Italiana Sommelier (Italian Sommelier Association – AIS).
BUSINESS AND INSTITUTIONAL TRANSLATIONSBusiness and commerce is a field I have always worked in, translating a variety of texts from the corporate world including websites, press releases, reports and presentations, for companies such as Familia Torres in Spain and Chile and Carlo Colombo S.p.A. and Falck Renewables in Italy.
Travel and TourismAs an avid traveller, I know what makes for a good tourism translation – and what doesn't. Besides having an eye and ear for the type of texts that will bring visitors to your tourist site, my extensive travel experience has allowed me to get to know different places and cultures, knowledge that is essential in being able to accurately convey a message in translation.
